If there are contentious planning applications that affect Chillaton, they will be the subject of an email newsletter sent to all residents who subscribe.

In 2014, the Borough Council identified a number of sites in the Parish that might be suitable for development and several of them were in Chillaton.  They were considered by the Parish Council and more information can be found by clicking on the Newsletters button and reading the issue for the 26th June 2014.

The Borough Council has since published a draft plan for the Borough, called 'Our Plan'.  It contains no proposals for development in Chillaton.

The Parish Council has agreed to produce a Neighbourhood Development Plan for the parish and the adjoining area of Kelly.  There is a dedicated website for the plan process, which can be found at www.mackplan.org.uk
